Our Abueg center has now become the heart of our medical rescue operations. Since Puerto is home to our trusted veterinarian and there are no clinics nearby in Aborlan, Abueg now serves as our temporary recovery sanctuary for dogs needing continuous treatment and care. This setup allows us to respond more quickly to medical emergencies and ensure each rescue gets the attention they deserve. Unfortunately, running a rescue isn’t always met with kindness. One of our neighbors recently lodged a complaint with the barangay, causing added stress to an already heavy mission. Still, we remain grounded in faith—knowing in our hearts that the Lord is with us, helping and protecting us. That is where we draw our strength and comfort. If more people were understanding, supportive, and better informed, this mission would be a little less heavy to carry.
