Meet Tabby

Tabby’s journey is one of resilience and hope, a tale of survival that led him to the safe haven of Paws and Claws Sanctuary. It was Teacher Hannah from Tagbarungis Elementary School in Palawan who reported about Tabby's case. She said Tabby was a gentle dog who often wandered around the school grounds. Despite his unfortunate injury—a severe wound on his head that exposed his skull—Tabby never showed aggression. The stories about how Tabby got his injury vary; some believe he was struck with a bolo, while others think it might have been from a fight. However, the exact cause remains a mystery.

This was Tabby when he was rescued in Tagbarungis, Palawan. No one knows exactly where he got such a severe wound.

This is Tabby sitting quietly on the clinic table--- a picture of vulnerability and shock. His eyes reflect the pain and confusion he had endured. But in the midst of his suffering, there were kind-hearted souls who refused to let him suffer alone, offering him the hope of a better life.

It’s heartbreaking to see a dog like this, but thanks to the kindness of caring people, he’s now in the safe hands of Paws and Claws Sanctuary, getting the medical care, love, and compassion he needs to heal.

What is certain, though, is that Tabby was in desperate need of help. Enter Annalyn Romasanta, an independent rescuer whose name appeared in the rescue video of Tabby, working alongside a team of compassionate individuals in a joint effort of SPAR. They managed to bring Tabby to safety, and soon, he found his way to Paws and Claws Sanctuary, where a dedicated team took him in with open arms.

Thanks to the care at Paws and Claws Sanctuary, Tabby has gone from a hopeless case to a happy, healthy dog. What seemed like an impossible situation is now a life full of love and a bright future. The sanctuary’s dedication shows that even the toughest cases can find hope and healing. Tabby’s journey is proof that every animal deserves a second chance.
