Sanctuary Updates!

1. Staff House

Welcome to our new staff house! Though not completely done, this cozy and functional space is where our dedicated team of caregivers rests and prepares to provide the best care for our animals. It will be completely equipped to ensure they’re well-rested and ready to handle the daily responsibilities of the sanctuary. Soon, it will be fully functional.

2. Cottages for the Animals

Introducing our newly built cottages for the animals! Each cottage is designed to offer a comfortable and secure environment for our furry friends. These spaces are not only functional but also provide a homely feel, ensuring that every animal has a special place to call their own. Soon, all cottages will be fully finished.

3. Packs of Dogs Newly Housed

Meet the latest additions to our sanctuary: our lovely packs of dogs! These wonderful canine companions have found their new homes here, where they will receive the love, care, and attention they deserve. We’re thrilled to see them settling into their new environment.

4. Quarantine Crate for Newly Rescued Puppies

Our temporary quarantine crate for newly rescued puppies is ready and waiting. This essential area ensures that our newest arrivals can be safely monitored and cared for as they transition into sanctuary life. It’s the first step in giving them a fresh start and a brighter future. We will certainly have a better and a larger quarantine place for the lovely newbies.

5. Rescued Kittens

Say hello to our adorable rescued kittens! These tiny furballs have found a safe haven with us. Each kitten receives the medical care, nourishment, and socialization they need to thrive and grow into healthy, happy cats.

6. Other Views/Images of the Sanctuary

Here’s a glimpse of our sanctuary in progress! These images showcase the developments underway, including the concrete fence, the staff house, and the construction of our new facilities. With cement, metal structures, and materials being put in place, we're working hard to build an infirmary, food warehouse, and other essential structures. We’re excited about these advancements and look forward to sharing more as our sanctuary continues to grow and improve.

Meet Tabby Tabby’s journey is one of resilience and hope, a tale of survival that led him to the safe haven of Paws and Claws Sanctuary. It was Teacher Hannah from Tagbarungis Elementary School in Palawan who reported about Tabby's case. She said Tabby was a gentle dog who often wandered around the school grounds. Despite his unfortunate injury—a severe wound on his head that exposed his skull—Tabby never showed aggression. The stories about how Tabby got his injury vary; some believe he was struck with a bolo, while others think it might have been from a fight. However, the exact cause remains a mystery. This was Tabby when he was rescued in Tagbarungis, Palawan. No one knows exactly where he got such a severe wound.  (Image courtesy of  SPAR Strategic Power for Animal Respondents-Philippines.
