Welcome Back to Paradise: Life at the Sanctuary

There’s nothing like returning to a place where love and care know no bounds. At the sanctuary, the dogs and cats are not just residents—they’re family. Whether lounging in their cozy cottages, basking in the open spaces, or enjoying playful moments, these animals thrive in a paradise created just for them. Each wagging tail, curious gaze, and gentle purr reflects the sanctuary’s dedication to giving them a second chance.

This week, the sanctuary comes alive with new memories: treats being shared, sunlit strolls, and the warm presence of a caring heart back from afar. Stay tuned as we share snapshots of the joy, comfort, and connection that make this place truly special.

After being away for a while, it’s so refreshing to see these happy faces again!  Treat time is always a favorite, and the dogs are all eyes on the goodies. Their spacious cottage is a true haven—big enough for a human family, but perfect for our lucky furry friends to rest and enjoy sanctuary life.
Gathered near the screened enclosure, some eagerly greet with curious eyes and gentle meows, while others relax, content in their safe haven. The connection between these furry friends and the caring hands that feed them is a reminder that love transcends all boundaries—even a screened door.
Surrounded by eager, wagging tails, the dogs wait patiently, their eyes fixed on the treats being shared. Inside the spacious enclosure, a few relax in the shade, while others gather around, savoring their moment of joy. Each treat is more than a snack—it’s a symbol of care, love, and the promise of a better life.
Even from behind the gate, the excitement is undeniable. The dogs eagerly gather, their wagging tails and happy barks creating a warm welcome. It’s a moment of pure anticipation as treats are prepared—proof that love knows no boundaries, even through a steel fence.
With a bag of treats in hand, the bond between species comes alive. Outside the cats' cozy den, some felines eagerly await their share, while a curious dog steps forward, hoping for a taste of the generosity. It’s a beautiful scene of coexistence, where all creatures are cared for and cherished equally.
Nestled in the hammock of a cozy cottage, surrounded by eager dogs and wagging tails, it’s a heartwarming scene filled with love, joy, and treats—a true snapshot of the sanctuary’s spirit.

Meet Tabby Tabby’s journey is one of resilience and hope, a tale of survival that led him to the safe haven of Paws and Claws Sanctuary. It was Teacher Hannah from Tagbarungis Elementary School in Palawan who reported about Tabby's case. She said Tabby was a gentle dog who often wandered around the school grounds. Despite his unfortunate injury—a severe wound on his head that exposed his skull—Tabby never showed aggression. The stories about how Tabby got his injury vary; some believe he was struck with a bolo, while others think it might have been from a fight. However, the exact cause remains a mystery. This was Tabby when he was rescued in Tagbarungis, Palawan. No one knows exactly where he got such a severe wound.  (Image courtesy of  SPAR Strategic Power for Animal Respondents-Philippines.
