Rescue Update: A Dog Brutally Attacked, Now Fighting for Recovery

 


Heartbreaking news from Paws and Claws Sanctuary—another innocent dog has fallen victim to unimaginable cruelty. This poor soul was struck in the mouth with a 4x4-inch wooden plank, leaving one side severely crushed, distorted, and torn, with flesh hanging from the wound. The brutality of this act is beyond comprehension, a reminder of the evil that some sick-minded individuals are capable of. Ang daming nang may sayad ngayon!

Despite the horrific injury, this brave dog is now in safe hands. Rescuers have transferred him to Abueg for rehabilitation, where he will receive the care and medical attention he needs. However, recovery will be a long and challenging process, as the injury has left a hole in the side of the mouth, making treatment even more complicated.

At Paws and Claws Sanctuary, no life is ever left behind. While the road to healing is uncertain, we remain hopeful that with time, love, and expert care, this dog will overcome the pain and trauma inflicted upon him.

Meet Tabby Tabby’s journey is one of resilience and hope, a tale of survival that led him to the safe haven of Paws and Claws Sanctuary. It was Teacher Hannah from Tagbarungis Elementary School in Palawan who reported about Tabby's case. She said Tabby was a gentle dog who often wandered around the school grounds. Despite his unfortunate injury—a severe wound on his head that exposed his skull—Tabby never showed aggression. The stories about how Tabby got his injury vary; some believe he was struck with a bolo, while others think it might have been from a fight. However, the exact cause remains a mystery.
