Two New Rescues, One Mission: Healing with Heart

Our rescue journey continues with the arrival of two new souls in need of love and healing.

Meet Cookie

In the video shared below, you’ll see Cookie, a newly rescued dog now under our care. She recently underwent the amputation of her front right leg due to a severe injury. Despite the pain she has endured, Cookie is showing incredible strength and spirit. She is currently recuperating and adjusting to her new reality with resilience that inspires us every day.

A Long Road to Safety
The second dog, still unnamed, was finally contained and rescued in El Nido. She is now en route to Puerto Princesa for urgent medical attention. Like many of our rescues, her journey to safety has been long, uncertain, and filled with challenges. But she is finally safe, and her healing begins now.

Welcome to Paws and Claws Sanctuary: A Safe Haven for Rescued Cats and Dogs

At Paws and Claws Sanctuary , our mission is simple yet meaningful: to rescue street dogs and cats and provide them with a chance for a better life. We believe that every animal deserves love, care, and a safe environment to live in. Each of these furry companions brings a warm heartbeat at your feet , reminding us of the unconditional love and joy they offer. Currently, we have around 50 dogs at our site, with construction ongoing to create a comfortable and enjoyable environment for our furry friends. Every step we take is motivated by our belief that every animal deserves love, care, and a safe place to call home. Rescued: Mon Mon left to die on a road.  Mon Mon, my trophy! Meet Tabby Tabby’s journey is one of resilience and hope, a tale of survival that led him to the safe haven of Paws and Claws Sanctuary. It was Teacher Hannah from Tagbarungis Elementary School in Palawan who reported about Tabby's case. She said Tabby was a gentle dog who often wandered around the school grounds. Despite his unfortunate injury—a severe wound on his head that exposed his skull—Tabby never showed aggression. The stories about how Tabby got his injury vary; some believe he was struck with a bolo, while others think it might have been from a fight. However, the exact cause remains a mystery. This was Tabby when he was rescued in Tagbarungis, Palawan. No one knows exactly where he got such a severe wound.  (Image courtesy of  SPAR Strategic Power for Animal Respondents-Philippines.
